Memorable Trip to Italy

Part 1 (5 Sep 2015)

overcast 14 °C

Hi, as this is my first report, I would be keeping the introduction short. Hope you enjoy this!

This trip to Italy, we took Qatar Airways which stopped over in Doha before going to London as we had to visit some people in London. After that, we flew BA to Milan.

Flight 1:
Airline: QX
Flight Path: SIN-DOH
Original Departure: 0200
Original Arrival: 0455
Actual Departure: 0207
Actual Arrival: 0438

We arrived in Singapore Changi Airport at about midnight. The flight was due to leave at 2am. After a brief checkin, we headed into the transit area where we ate snacks and waited for the flight. At around, 1.30am, boarding was called.

Everyone was boarded by around 1.55am. The captain came onboard to welcome us and said that we would be arriving around half an hour early at this rate. Here's the airshow:

We took off on time. The stewardesses were very friendly and served us some sandwich service. I dozed off and before long, it was around 2am DOH/ 7am SIN. Then, they served us our breakfast. Unfortunately, I was too tired to take any photos of the breakfast (consisting of omelette and sausages). However, here's the sandwich service:

At 4.38am, we touched down smoothly at Doha International Airport, while it was still nighttime.

Transit was uneventful, so I would not be writing anything about it. Doha Airport was actually very big!

Flight 2:
Flight Path: DOH-LHR
Original Departure: 0635
Original Arrival: 1105
Actual Departure: 0646
Actual Arrival: 1035

Boarding was called at about 6.15am, a bit late I thought so.

However, everyone was boarded by 6.30am and we took off at 6.46am.

As we took off I could see the middle east desert landscape. Anyway, as soon as we took off, there was breakfast served. Consisting of omelette, sausage, potatoes, mushrooms:

After watching a few movies, at about an hour and a half before arrival, a snack was served.

Finally, at 9.55am, the captain came on the PA system to inform us that we were beginning our descend into London Heathrow Airport. Landing into London would have been one of my longest landings ever. The approach was so cloudy that I could not see ground until 30 seconds before we touched down. We made 4 loops around the airport. At last, at 10.35am, I could finally see ground (we were only 50 meters in the sky!!) and 20 seconds later, we landed with a rocky landing,

We had to wait for 20 minutes before reaching immigration and clearing immigration at noon.

END OF PART 1
Like if you enjoyed. Wait for my Part 2!@
